A proven micro-marketplace concept with easy execution, but thin economics and high distribution friction make it a niche lifestyle business rather than a likely venture-scale winner.

MAYBE
A genuinely clever proof-of-concept marketplace, but the current numbers suggest a niche lifestyle project rather than a large venture-scale business.
What is BrandMyLaptop?
BrandMyLaptop is a two-sided marketplace where individuals rent out sticker spots on their laptop lids to brands. Sellers list a lid with a set number of spots and fixed prices; brands buy spots via Stripe, and the seller prints stickers, places them, and posts photo proof. The platform keeps 10% of each transaction and sellers receive funds directly into their own Stripe accounts. It grew out of BrandMyMac.com, which sold all ten spots on one MacBook and raised โฌ7,483 against a โฌ2,529 machine. The public dashboard shows $3,806 sold across 187 lids, but MRR and true revenue are not disclosed.
